Fill Up Your Heart With God And Who He Is

“And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.” Genesis 17:1

In this text, God was telling His servant Abram—who would eventually be named Abraham—that He is Almighty God, which means El-shaddai—all-sufficient God that is more than enough.

You may have come from a life of not enough, not enough love, not of support, not enough encouragement, not enough food or money, not enough opportunities. Maybe not enough is all you have known. So much so that you’ve grown accustomed to it and have learned to expect it. But when you come face to face with the reality that God is more than enough, when you learn of His generous divine nature, His abundant life supply, His love that overflows and never ends, and His limitless power, it can be quite overwhelming. Downright difficult to grasp. A flood of grace awaits you when you discover that He is more than enough for you. God’s Spirit of Grace and Truth is challenging you today to release what has not been enough in your life and receive Him fully and completely. Fill up your heart with God and Who He is. He is more than enough love for you, more than enough peace for you, more than enough provision for you, more than enough strength and grace for you.

Prayer:
My Heavenly Father, You are truly more than enough for me. I have never known a love like Yours. It is overwhelming and more precious to me than anything I’ve ever known. Help me to understand more deeply this truth. I yield to You Father and thank You for being more than enough for me. In Jesus Name, Amen. – Daughters of the King Devotional.

“Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.” – James 1:17

Receive God gifts with open hands. Enjoy the good gifts but we are not to cling to them. Our attention should not be in what was given but to the giver of all good things, then we can rest in the knowledge that we are complete in him with or without the gifts. The only thing that we ever need is the one thing we can never lose. God’s presence with us.

Hold on to the things of this world lightly not tightly.

Our Peace Goes Beyond Our Situation

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the fire will not set you ablaze.” – Isaiah 43:2

“Do Not Fear” is mentioned 365 times in the Bible. Fear kills our faith and steals our joy.

Fear isn’t from God, for he hasn’t given us a spirit of fear. But time and again He would remind us to be strong and be courageous because He is with us wherever we go.

Knowing that God goes with us and has gone before us should give us a sense of peace and joy even amidst trials. Our walk may not be a bed of roses, Jesus never said that in this world we will have trouble but we can have His peace in knowing that He won’t abandon us.

“Do not be afraid, for I am with you… ” – Isaiah 43:5

Deep waters and raging rivers may scare us to death. We don’t know as we pass along if we will ever make it through the other side. We refuse to walk through the Fire because of the fear of getting burned. We don’t want what is painful. But we can be assured of even during these trying times that Jesus hold is in His hands. He will not let us go.

He lets us go through waters and rivers to cleanse us and not to drown us. To deepen our faith and depend solely on our shepherd. He allows us to go through fire not to set us ablaze but to refine us into gold. Setting apart impurities so that we will reflect the image of our Savior.

“Since you are precious and honored in my sight, and because I love you, I will give people in exchange for you, nations in exchange for your life.” – Isaiah 43:4

We can have peace regardless of our circumstances because we know that our God will never leave us nor forsake us. We are precious and honored and He loves us.

Our peace goes beyond our situation. It may not be well right now but we can declare all is well with my soul because of who our God is.

The next time the enemy is causing you to doubt or fear ,if you can make it to the other side or not. Always remember and picture yourself being held by our Good Shepherd.

“…Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine.” – Isaiah 43:1
